Vicky Christina Barcelona
Pretty much a movie about friendship. Starts when Vicky and Christina are on their way to spend the summer in Barcelona.
Vicky and Christina have several significant differences about life, love, etc. but don't worry, there will be a narrator to guide you through.
Vicky is more tough and ambitious when it comes to life, and not much of a believer in romance and cheesy dinners when it comes to love. She is already engaged to Doug.
While Christina is rather artistic, she makes short movies and write poems. When it comes to love, she tends to pursue something extraordinary for her love life, something different, as she says.
When they're in Barcelona, they attend an art exhibition, where Christina spots a guy in red whom she meets again later at dinner with Vicky. The red-shirt guy approaches the table and invites the girls to join him on a trip to Oviero (or something). Christina, who finds the offer irresistible, accepts. By the way, the guy's named Juan-Antonio.
On the trip, Christina spends a very good time, while Vicky tries not to get too close with the strangely artistic guy. One night Christina gets ill so she mainly stays in bed during the weekend and Vicky (not that she wants to) spends more time alone with Juan-Antonio. Vicky never sees it coming, that she is going to fall in love with the guy.. but they make out eventually, which Vicky regrets with all her heart. And she keeps it secret from Christina, yet it hurts when Christina tells her Juan-Antonio asks her out after the trip.
Life after Barcelona is pretty roller-coaster.
Vicky grows hesitation upon her engagement with Doug because of her feelings for Juan-Antonio, but she never tells Doug about the guy ever.
Christina, somehow manages to date Juan-Antonio and move in with him. But not that simple, an out-of-her-mind ex-wife of Juan-Antonio turns up and needs to stay with them for quite a long time. Of course, Christina doesn't get along really well with this ex-wife named Maria Elena. But as time goes by, things change. like REALLY REALLY CHANGE into something I'm shocked with my mouth opened about.
maybe you'll like this movie, maybe you'll not. But it has a good moral point.
Hope you'll like it.
